NORWAY - WINTER JOURNEYS
My first trip to Norway was over 20 years ago when I rode my Kawasaki ZX-9R as far north as I dared through a terrible wintry storm blowing in from the arctic.
On two wheels of course, you are limited to staying away from icy roads.
The journey did however imbue me with a desire to reach the northern parts of Norway some day.
In 2010 I eventually made it back via the arctic town of Tromso and travelled from there to the Lofoten Islands to undertake landscape, travel, and aurora photography.
The Lofoten Islands have been described as 'the soul of Norway', with good reason, this rugged island chain is spectacular.
I've shot a lot there over several visits and have won several awards for the work, it's that kind of location.
Here are just a few of the images I've taken from my travels there.
