After leaving school and getting sidetracked into motorcycle racing for a few years I went to university and gained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design. From there I got into the film, advertising, art and design industries; particularly in feature films, TV commercials, and supplying work for advertising stills photography.
Nowadays I'm a 'multi-disciplinary creative talent' as they say, including being a photographer.
From initially starting my film career in 1986 as a model-maker I attained the level of Special Effects Supervisor on the 2010 Russian blockbuster film Kandagar.
For many years I worked with high-end advertising photographers supplying models, props and Special FX. After taking up photography in 2008, a high point was winning a place in the 2010 Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards (BBC / London Natural History Museum) with shot entitled Celestial Cathedral. I've subsequently won other awards in various genres for my photography and digital illustration work.
I have also been involved in other creative industries by way of producing architectural sculpture, specialist lighting and other fit-out objects for architects and interior designers. From 2000 - 2005 I worked as a freelance concept designer for a factory on mainland China.
Even though still involved occasionally in film and design I also shoot travel and tourism related material as well as my own fine art projects. I'm currently working on a photographic book of Soviet and Russian aircraft.
My movie credits can be seen on my IMDB profile. I'm also a member of The Society of Australian Cinema Pioneers.

I'm currently based in Australia but rather like the concept of travelling as work.
